Trainee Photocopier Engineer

The Trainee Photocopier Engineer position is a role which will benefit from the support & experience of the current Field Service Engineering team to develop a competency in refurbishing, setting up and installing office equipment.
The candidate will be based in our Purfleet offices but will be expected to travel to accommodate training & learning.
A clean licence is preferred (a maximum of 3 points would be acceptable)
There is also the opportunity for cross training, NCS also supply and install Telecom Equipment.
Our workshop engineers are our conveyor belt to our field engineers, this involves repairing Copier/Printer products already in the field. The field engineer job comes with a Company car, mobile phone & laptop if the candidate successfully progresses to that role.

Salary: £21,000.00 per year
- Servicing Mainly Toshiba & Lexmark MFD’s/Printers (full training provided)
- Shadow/buddy with lead engineer

- Liaise with Logistics Controller
- Provide a communication link between the workshop and other service team staff.
- Assist in maintaining the workshop in an organised and efficient manner
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Provide cover for van driver/deliveries where required.
- This can be a customer facing role
- The candidate must be professional in both manner and appearance at all times

Service Delivery Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Service Delivery Manager to join and manage our Service, Billing and SOP Team within the Glasgow Head Office. Reporting to the Group Service Director, the Service Delivery Manager will assist in the smooth running of our busy Service, Billing and SOP Departments.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
- To identify additional areas for profitable delivery
- To ensure accurate and transparent reporting
- To ensure the processes are in place and working effectively to deliver customer satisfaction
- To lead the engineering teams effectively, providing clear direction to ensure people are working to common goals
- To hold regular team meetings to include process, resource, and site reviews, with gap analysis, and business improvement recommendations
- To conduct vehicle, equipment & process audits to inspect and document engineers’ van stock and equipment
- To carry out checks to ensure that engineers are treating NCS products, equipment, and their personal safety in line with company policies
- To follow up all client escalations relating to service engineering issues and quality of delivery as and when required
- To ensure Engineers are fully trained and compliant by managing a training and competencies matrix
- Identify training needs across all divisions.
- To ensure staff can efficiently and effectively address customer and company needs
- To operate to the highest business standards, manage risk and protect the NCS brand
- To lead compliance and implementation of NCS values, principles, initiatives and governance requirements throughout the Regions
- To manage the Field Engineering teams to keep operational costs to a minimum and within budget
- Provide customer facing support on compliance delivery for service contracts as required.
- To support the Planned Services Manager to ensure that all properties & assets have the required level of planned maintenance and remain compliant.
- Ensure consistent and accurate reports are produced which indicate the completion of related works and SLA’s are being met.
- Work with existing managers to improve efficiency and resolve issues on any client contract
- Ensure timely feedback of updates and information for NCS customers and attend customer meetings if required.
- Ensure maximum productivity of the administration team to prevent records from not being obtained or checked over the course of a reporting period
- Promote best practice, competence, and continuous improvement when in all aspects of NCS service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to KPI service level thresholds or otherwise provide mitigation for related contracts
- To support the business Service strategy and to deliver the required customer service and financial performance.
- Experience in FM or Office Equipment industry.
- Very high ability with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel
- Understanding of different service levels within the NCS service model
- High understanding of FM service and contract delivery and commercial implications
- High attention to detail
- Methodical and procedure approach to problem solving
- Patient approach to work and communication style
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Photocopier Engineer

We are currently looking for two experienced field based Photocopier Engineers to join our existing service team in the following locations: Southampton and Bristol.
This key role will entail installation, maintenance, support and diagnostics of mainly Toshiba, Canon and Lexmark MFD/Printer ranges.
- Service Toshiba, Canon and Lexmark MFD’s/Printers (ongoing manufacturer training provided)
- Attend breakdowns and service calls
- Install, set-up and networking of MFD’s/Printers
- Liaise with other departments for deliveries/installation
- Deal with problems as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Provide a highly satisfactory service to customers
- Experience of installing, servicing and networking different types of printers and MFD’s (Toshiba, Canon and/or Lexmark experience preferred but not essential)
- This is a customer facing role so the candidate must have proven experience dealing with customers
- The candidate must have the ability to work under pressure, on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Good time keeping and communication skills are imperative
- The candidate must have the ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels
- The candidate must be eager to learn and succeed
- Able to work under pressure

The successful candidate will benefit from a competitive salary (£25,000 – £30,000Dependent on experience) Company Car, Fuel Card, Laptop and Smart Phone are provided. This is a full time, permanent position. Hours of work are 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday.
